The only catch is that the kitchen doesn't start preparing your meal until you tap a button that says "I'm Here, Prepare My Order," and that can result in a bit of a wait time while they make your food. Instead of waiting to tap that button until you're standing directly in front of the restaurant, click it while you're still walking over, or even while you're finishing a ride nearby. If you don't want to stuff snacks into your suitcase but still want to save some money, you can have groceries delivered straight to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel through a service like Instacart or Amazon. Bell Services will hold the order until you're ready if needed, so just add your name and room reservation to the delivery.

Order Off the Kids' Menu as an Adult

Speaking of feeling like you're wasting money on food at Walt Disney World, the portion sizes at the restaurants can often end up being too large for one person, resulting in you wasting food that you paid a pretty penny for. The pool and the restaurants are open to you the moment you arrive, and you can hop on Disney transportation to the parks, too. There's no reason to lose half a vacation day to an empty hotel room. Drop your bags and go!

Use Your Own Finger for Your Kid's Ticket

When you enter a Walt Disney World park, everyone age 3 and up needs to scan a finger that's linked to their ticket, which keeps tickets from being shared or resold. The problem is that little fingers can be tough to scan. Kids often use the wrong one, or they don't hold it still long enough, and suddenly there's a line piling up behind you.

The easy fix is that you're allowed to use your own finger for your child's ticket. When you do this, their ticket still works exactly the same - it's just tied to your fingerprint instead. One thing to keep in mind is that the same parent needs to be there each time that child enters a park. If a different grown-up brings them, a Cast Member will need to help you re-scan a new finger to link with the ticket or snap a quick photo.
